BEEF CHOP SUEY

Preparation Time :
40 minutes

Cooking Time :
30 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Heat oil. Add garlic, ginger and shallot, and stir-fry 1 minute. Add beef and stir-fry another minute. Remove from pan.
  • Heat remaining oil. Add broccoli, cauliflower, champignons, water chestnuts, snow peas and bean sprouts.
  • Stir-fry 1 - 2 minutes. Add stock and return beef.
  • Blend corn flour with sherry and soy sauce. Stir in to thicken.
  • Serve at once.

INGREDIENTS

  • 5 tablespoons Cooking oil
  • 1 teaspoon chopped garlic
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh ginger root
  • 2 shallot cut in 2 cm lengths
  • 500 grams grilling steak, sliced thinly
  • 250 grams cauli flower florets, blanched
  • 100 grams champignons
  • 100 grams water chestnuts, sliced
  • 100 grams snow peas, stems removed
  • 100 grams bean sprouts, root removed
  • 250 ml beef stock
  • 2 tablespoons corn flour
  • 2 tablespoons dry sherry
  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce
