MARINATED SHALLOT CHICKEN

Preparation Time :
1 hour 20 minutes

Cooking Time :
20 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Remove skin from chicken breasts, cut each chicken breast in half lengthwise and then cut each half into 3 pieces.
  • Cut shallots into small pieces; combine with sauces, sherry, corn flour and egg white, mix well.
  • Allow to stand for 1 hour covered or leave overnight in refrigerator.
  • Heat oil in wok; add chicken, a few pieces at a time, deep fry until chicken is golden brown and tender.

INGREDIENTS

  • 750 grams chicken breasts 
  • 1 teaspoon chilli sauce 
  • 1 tablespoon dry sherry 
  • 50 grams corn flour
  • 2 tablespoons light soy sauce 
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce 
  • 4 green shallots 
  • 1 egg white 
  • Cooking oil for deep frying
