Preparation Method :
- Sift flour, custard powder, baking powder and bicarbonate of soda together three times, and then set aside.
- Beat eggs in a bowl, add sugar gradually and continue beating until mixture is light and fluffy.
- Fold dry ingredients into the egg mixture. Add vanilla essence and set aside for 30 minutes. In a pan, melt butter and gradually add the batter.
- Line one 18 cm square tin with two pieces of greased paper then put into a steamer.
- Pour in batter and steam for about 50 minutes or until cooked.
- Arrange almonds for decoration.
