TOFFEE APPLES

15 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Cut each apple into 8 pieces. Dust each piece with a little of the flour.
  • Sift the remaining flour into a mixing bowl, then slowly add the cold water and stir to make a smooth thick paste. Add the beaten egg and blend well to a smooth batter.
  • Heat the oil in a wok. Dip the apple pieces in the batter and deep-fry in batches for about 3 minutes or until golden. Remove and drain.
  • Heat 2 tablespoon of the oil in the wok, add the sugar and stir constantly until the sugar has caramelized.
  • Quickly add the apple pieces and blend well so that each piece of apple is coated with the "toffee".
  • Dip the apple pieces into ice cold water to harden before serving.

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 firm eating apples - peeled and cored
  • 200 grams flour
  • 150 ml cold water
  • 1 egg - beaten
  • 2 tablespoon Cooking oil for the toffee
  • 150 grams sugar
