SAGO PUDDING

Makes :

Preparation Time :
50 minutes

Cooking Time :
3 hours 30 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Soak sago well in water 3 hours. Pour sago into a pan of boiling water and simmer until transparent. Wash under running tap. Drain and set aside.
  • Put water and the sugar into a saucepan. Slowly bring to the boil and add sago, butter and milk stirring until well blended.
  • Mix coconut milk with corn flour and custard powder. Gradually stir into boiling sugar mixture. Continue stirring until thickened. Remove from heat.
  • Add well-beaten into an eggs and stir until smooth. Pour into a heatproof container and place on middle shelf of preheated oven 230° C (450 ° F). Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Serve.

  • 300 gram sago
  • 750 grams sugar
  • 200 gram butter
  • 300 ml milk
  • 750 ml coconut milk
  • 250 grams corn flour
  • 250 grams custard powder
  • 6 eggs, well beaten
