RED BEAN PUDDING

Serves :

Preparation Time :
40 minutes

Cooking Time :
2 hours 30 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Wash red beans and drain. Pour water into deep sauce pan, add red beans and bring to boil over medium heat.
  • Cover, lower heat and simmer for about 1 hour or until beans are tender.
  • Add palm sugar and to cook until melted. Pour in butter and stir well. Remove from heat and cool for 5 minutes.
  • Sift rice flour into mixing bowl; mix with water. Stir batter into bean mixture gradually until well blended.
  • Pour mixture into two 20 cm greased cake tins. Steam in steamer over high heat for 1 hour until cooked.
  • Serve sliced in pieces.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 kg Chinese red beans
  • 1 kg palm or raw sugar
  • 250 gram butter
  • 750 grams rice flour
