VEGETABLE FRIED RICE

Preparation Method :

  • Heat the oil over medium-high heat in a wok.
  • Add the garlic, green bell pepper, green beans, carrot and daikon radish and stir-fry for a few minutes, or until the vegetables begin to soften.
  • Add the rice and stir-fry until it starts to turn golden. Add the fish sauce, sugar, green onions, coriander and celery leaves, and mix well. Serve with chilli sauce, if desired.

 

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, peeled and chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, finely chopped
  • Handful of green beans, ends removed and sliced
  • 1 small carrot, peeled and cut into thin strips
  • 1 small turnip, peeled and cut into thin strips
  • 400 grams cold cooked jasmine rice, preferably day-old rice
  • 4 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 3 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 small bunch coriander leaves, finely chopped
  • A few celery leaves, finely chopped
  • Chilli sauce, to serve
